Danielle May

Danielle is responsible for organization-wide financial planning and oversees all aspects of restricted grants management. This includes leading the quarterly forecasting and planning process as well as supporting effective life cycle administration, grant budget management, and compliance for grants from foundations, corporations, and other institutions. Danielle also partners with the CFO on incorporating strategic goals into the planning process as well as the Director of Finance on routine fiscal management.

Prior to joining New Profit, Danielle was the Director of Financial Planning for Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. In her role, she was able to collaborate with front-line healthcare staff on the annual operating and capital budgets, benchmarking data, and new program development. After eight years in the healthcare industry, embracing the mission behind the work has become critically important to Danielle. The decision to join the New Profit team was sparked by the organization’s commitment to driving social impact as well as their dedication to building a strong workplace community. Danielle has a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Wheaton College and a Masters in Mathematical Finance from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
