Anthony Covell

Anthony supports America Forward’s government affairs strategy and co-leads on several policy priority areas. His primary policy focuses are in Higher Education, Evidence-Based Policy, and Social Innovation. Anthony also founded and leads New Profit’s PRIDE Affinity Group for LGBTQIA+ staff members and sit’s on New Profit’s Leadership Council as an at-large member.

Anthony has a passion for effective, bipartisan, common-sense policy solutions to the country’s most pressing social problems. Prior to joining New Profit and America Forward, Anthony worked in the United States Senate under Senator Kyrsten Sinema, where he primarily assisted the Senator’s team in federal, state, and local COVID-19 response and coordination in Arizona. He held previous positions on Senator Sinema’s 2018 Campaign, in the Office of Senator Tammy Duckworth, and at the Arizona House of Representatives.

Anthony is a Pennsylvania native and studied at Penn State University (We Are!) before transferring and earning his Bachelors in Political Science from Arizona State University (Go Devils!).
