America Forward

America Forward was New Profit’s DC-based, national nonpartisan policy and advocacy initiative. America Forward united social entrepreneurs with policymakers to promote advance public policies that advance equity, foster innovation, focus on outcomes, and catalyze cross-sector partnerships. America Forward’s Coalition of 100+ organizations championed breakthrough policies in education, economic mobility, and democracy.

Between it’s launch in 2007 and its wind-down in 2025 the America Forward Coalition secured over $1.9 billion in government funding to support social innovation, and led on critical policy efforts to bolster innovation and use evidence to expand the most effective solutions. By connecting social entrepreneurs to one another and to the public resources and policy levers they need, they scaled proven strategies to benefit people in communities across the country.
