We hold an unshakeable faith that a more inclusive and prosperous America is possible. Yet, even the most impactful organizations cannot, on their own, fully address the challenges America faces at the scale they exist.
Through our Ecosystem Building efforts, we work with philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, and other national and local stakeholders to explore, identify, and accelerate innovations and ideas that have the potential to transform how we pursue systems change.

An approach informed by 25+ years of continuous learning.
Because we invest in innovators, ideas, and models that historically have been overlooked by the philanthropic sector, we are able to share unique learnings and insights that can guide the philanthropic sector toward greater impact. And by cultivating and engaging multiracial, intergenerational, cross-sector (M.I.C.™) coalitions that, by definition, include a wide range of viewpoints and ideas, we can expand our collective understanding of the conditions that hold intractable problems in place while co-designing pathways to change.
We are only one organization—yet we seek widespread impact. We share our learnings through major conferences, media engagement, digital campaigns, curated gatherings and learning communities, podcast interviews, data-driven reports, and more.
As a result, we are able to influence the funding practices of our philanthropic peers, shift mindsets around critical issue areas, and create multigroup spaces where we can unlock our collective ability to build an America where everyone can thrive.
