Stephanie is part of the Portfolio Investing Team and leads its Measurement sub-function. She partners with Portfolio Team leadership on developing New Profit’s Measurement strategy and mission. Stephanie also creates, refines, and manages data tools and processes to advance New Profit’s ability to diagnose portfolio organizations’ capabilities, monitor support to organizations, and measure our impact over time.
Before joining New Profit, Stephanie was a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Specialist at World Resources Institute. She led MEL efforts for Global Forest Watch, an online platform that provides open data and tools for monitoring forests. Stephanie’s other past experiences have focused on MEL, data analysis, and international development. They included interning at APCO Insight, the public opinion research group of APCO Worldwide; Americares, a global health and emergency response NGO; and Friends for Street Children Association, a grassroots non-profit located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Stephanie has a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University. She concentrated in International Development and Environmental Studies and minored in Geographic Information Systems.
Stephanie is passionate about MEL and its potential to foster a culture of continuous learning. In particular, she’s interested in the intersection between MEL and equity and is excited to explore this at New Profit.
