Portfolio
A member of the Catalyze Investments team, Rebecca works across the Catalyze cohorts, focusing on investment selection, capacity-building programming, and evaluation. Rebecca works closely with the Portfolio Performance and Support team and Reporting team and leads data collection efforts for the Catalyze investment team.
Rebecca’s background in politics and finance and her interest in the intersection of public policy, finance, and equity work drew her to New Profit. Before joining New Profit, Rebecca was an investment analyst at the Wellesley College Investment Office for two years, where she learned about the “venture” side of venture philanthropy and worked across a variety of asset classes and issues, including sustainability and socially responsible investing. Previously, after graduating from Cornell University with degrees in economics and government, Rebecca served as the volunteer coordinator for a Massachusetts state representative race, organizing around issues that mattered to her. In this role, Rebecca discovered that she loved the proximity to important issues and the grassroots legwork that the campaign offered her. This discovery, paired with her appreciation for the scope and perspective that finance provided, led her to choose the New Profit team.
