Nikhil shapes New Profit’s evolving brand and communications strategies to further the organization’s impact. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of the communications team, working closely with colleagues and partners across the New Profit network to elevate and amplify social impact stories. Through a deep understanding of New Profit’s audiences and how to engage with them across channels, Nikhil supports the organization’s strategic goals including fundraising and thought leadership.
Before joining New Profit, Nikhil served as Director of Communications at Accion International’s Center for Financial Inclusion, where he helped to complete the successful acquisition and integration of MIX, the global pioneer in data for inclusive financial services where he worked for the previous five years. While at MIX, Nikhil repositioned and relaunched the brand as it shifted from microfinance to fintech; he also designed and implemented the brand and communications strategy for the organization’s flagship initiative, Inclusive Fintech 50. Earlier in his career, Nikhil was a brand strategist at Digitas, a leading communications and marketing agency. He has also spent time at GTB, a global advertising agency, and in the impact investing space.
