Molly O’Donnell

Molly co-leads New Profit’s Portfolio team with Amina Fahmy Casewit. Together with Amina, Molly oversees the vision, strategy, and management of both New Profit’s Build (multi-year) and Catalyze (early stage, one-two year) investment portfolios and sits on New Profit’s Leadership Team. Molly works to operationalize New Profit’s commitment to centering equity and proximity in our portfolio practices and investments. Molly focuses on our Catalyze Portfolio and Portfolio Support & Learn team which works to strengthen and evolve our grantee-support model. She also serves as a Deal Partner providing strategic advising and support to individual portfolio organizations. 

Previously at New Profit, she co-led  New Profit’s Personalized Learning Initiative (PLI), a four-year initiative providing New Profit’s signature advisory support to eight leading personalized learning organizations as well as a four-year CEO learning community and supported the New Profit Reimagine Learning Fund. 

Molly began her career as a youth worker focused on student leadership and identity development and family engagement in Portland, OR. She then made her way to Boston to pursue her MPP and MBA at Brandeis University which led her to non-profit consulting and then New Profit. New Profit is a great home where policy, consulting, and education all come together.
