Education
Zearn is a nonprofit organization solely dedicated to K-8 math learning. Everything they do is driven by the belief that all kids are math kids.
Year Founded: 2012
Zearn is the nonprofit educational organization behind Zearn Math, the top-rated math learning platform used by 1 in 4 elementary school students and by more than 1 million middle-school students nationwide. Zearn Math publishes research-based instructional materials and dynamic digital math lessons. Learning with Zearn gives kids more opportunities to learn grade-level math.
Educators use Zearn both as a complement to their teaching and flexibly across instructional times – during core instruction, intervention, tutoring, or summer programs.
Zearn is proven to have transformative results. In large-scale, statewide analyses, students who consistently use Zearn grew math scores 2.5 times more than matched students who didn’t use Zearn. Consistent Zearn usage also resulted in double-digit proficiency gains across student subgroups. Zearn works for all kids, even students who consistently score below grade level. Approximately 70% of students at the lowest level of math achievement who consistently used Zearn improved their achievement level on state tests, compared to just 45% of matched students who did not use Zearn.
