Marcy Lab in action

The Marcy Lab School is a college alternative that empowers young adults who face barriers to opportunity with a holistic, accelerated pathway to high-paying careers in the tech industry.

Year Founded: 2019

Marcy Lab was founded to expand access to life-changing economic opportunity for students in New York City whose talent and ambition outpace the traditional pathways available to them. Its one-year, tuition-free Fellowships combine industry-aligned technical training with deep leadership development, culminating in a capstone project or paid apprenticeship with top employers.

Since 2019, Marcy Lab has supported over 200 graduates in launching tech careers, with average starting salaries exceeding $100,000 per year.

The Marcy Lab School, led by Reuben Ogbonna, was a member of New Profit’s 2022 Economic Mobility Catalyze cohort.
