TalkingPoints’ theory of change is that by delivering tech-enabled family engagement at scale in under-resourced communities, we will improve student outcomes and help close equity gaps. Our approach centers students but drives change through the entire ecosystem surrounding student academic success and wellbeing, from families and educators to school districts, community systems, and the broader education sector. Our vision is for every child to have the support needed to learn, grow, and succeed, every family member to be empowered to be partners in their children’s education, and teachers and schools to be successful in supporting families.

Founded in 2015, TalkingPoints has grown to serve 8M students, families, and educators annually across hundreds of districts nationwide, including 10 of the country’s top 20 largest school districts. And our impact is proven. Research shows that TalkingPoints leads to higher test scores, improved course proficiency, lower absenteeism rates, and fewer behavioral suspensions, with the highest gains for under-resourced students. TalkingPoints has been a proud New Profit partner as a part of the Wellbeing in Education initiative since 2022.
