Economic Mobility

StitchCrew Latino Accelerator Workshop

StitchCrew’s mission is to build a more equitable economy by closing systemic opportunity gaps for women and minority entrepreneurs and professionals. We provide culturally responsive programs, mentorship, and access to capital to help underrepresented founders scale their businesses and support women navigating career transitions, caregiving, and leadership advancement. By connecting individuals to networks, funding, and policy engagement opportunities, we foster long-term economic resilience. Our work spans entrepreneurship, workforce development, and civic advocacy—ensuring that those historically excluded from economic growth have the tools and support to succeed, lead, and shape a more inclusive future of work and innovation.

Year Founded: 2017

StitchCrew addresses systemic barriers to economic mobility through a multi-pronged, community-centered model that blends direct service with systems-level advocacy. Their core programs include cohort-based accelerators, workforce development labs, and peer networks that offer coaching, mentorship, technical assistance, and access to funding opportunities. Each program is tailored to the specific challenges their constituents face, such as career gaps due to caregiving, lack of institutional knowledge, or limited access to capital. StitchCrew also embeds policy education and advocacy training into all of their offerings—equipping participants with the tools to navigate government systems, influence decision-making, and reframe their relationships with institutions as partners rather than obstacles. They actively shift power dynamics by elevating the voices of those who are often left out of economic and policy conversations by creating platforms for storytelling, facilitating direct engagement with policymakers and institutional leaders, and supporting grassroots advocacy efforts.

Since 2017, StitchCrew has supported over 600 women professionals and 300 women- and minority-owned businesses through programs that provide funding, coaching, and network access. Many of these businesses have scaled significantly: collectively, they employ more than 850 people and generate over $28 million in annual revenue.
