BTMT in Action

Boys to Men Tucson strengthens their communities by nurturing intentional spaces for boys, men, and masculine-identified folks to practice honest and mindful relationships. Boys to Men Tucson humbly approaches the work of mentoring boys and masculine-identified youth. They are dedicated to building a future where boys, men and masculine-identified people have equitable access to frameworks, resources, tools and systems that allow them to survive and thrive.

Year Founded: 2009

Boys to Men Tucson’s services and programs are aimed at nurturing the socio-emotional growth of boys and masculine-identified youth. Through their programs, they harness the power of community resources to create safe spaces that not only celebrate but actively support diverse expressions of identity. Within these spaces, they cultivate a culture that not only acknowledges but also applauds healthy masculinity and a wide spectrum of gender expression. By fostering an environment of inclusivity and acceptance, they empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves and thrive in their unique journeys of self-discovery.

Their approach is deeply rooted in the youth themselves, employing asset-based strategies that empower them to lead their journey of exploring masculinity. Through their restorative talking “circles,” they encourage the development of critical self-awareness, empathy towards others, and a profound connection to their communities.
