Advancing the Educational Attainment of Boys & Men
This session will feature three men: one Black, one White, and one Latino man who have either built or led organizations dedicated to the well-being and educational achievement of men and boys. In an era when culture quickly highlights the challenges faced by men and boys, toxic masculinity, racial divides, and gender conflicts as viral topics, this session will provide insights from experts who have not only designed and implemented programs to improve men’s and boys’ lives but have also dedicated their personal time as mentors, fathers, and educators.
Grow or Let Go? Navigating M&A in Education
As the education sector faces mounting pressure to scale impact, adapt to change, and align resources, mergers and acquisitions are becoming critical tools for systems-level transformation. Yet behind every deal lies a complex story of leadership, culture, and mission. This candid conversation will feature lessons learned from prominent organizations that have navigated and supported M&A—what drives these decisions, what happens behind the scenes, and how philanthropy can better support organizations as they scale, consolidate, or collaborate.
Proximity in Practice: Social Entrepreneur & Funder Mixer
New Profit and the Gates Foundation invite funders and social entrepreneurs to discuss the role of strategic partnerships and cross-sector collaboration when navigating uncertainty. Join us to build community, deepen connections, and share challenges and successes. We will explore how bringing cross-sector voices together— from community to entrepreneurs and philanthropists—can build authentic partnerships and drive transformative solutions. Connect with leaders redefining philanthropy who understand that breakthroughs come from leaders grounded in the communities they serve.
