America Forward Applauds House Passage of The Social Impact Partnerships to Pay For Results Act
“Members of the America Forward Coalition applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for approving the Social Impact Partnerships to Pay for Results Act. Introduced by Representatives Todd Young (R-IN) and John Delaney (D-MD), and supported by a bipartisan group of over 25 Representatives, this important piece of legislation will create a federal fund to promote a variety of Pay for Success
approaches and also test social innovation financing of Pay for Success strategies. The legislation also supports the advancement of evidence-based practices by establishing a clearinghouse to support and strengthen welfare research and evaluation. In times of tighter budgets and greater demand for social services, we must work together to direct government resources to the most efficient programs that measurably improve people’s lives. This bipartisan bill has the potential to incentivize more efficient use of government resources, link government dollars to positive outcomes, and build the evidence base of what works in human and social services programs. The America Forward Coalition looks forward to working with Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Michael Bennett (D-CO) to advance a similar bill in the U.S. Senate.”
