Catalyze: Economic Mobility

Our cohort-based approach to accelerating the growth of organizations improving economic mobility in America.

Expanding access to economic opportunity, financial wellbeing, and long-term success.

We are driven by the belief that a more inclusive and prosperous America is possible if we prioritize solutions that repair the injustices of the past, address the disparities of the present, and create opportunity for all workers in the future.

Our Economic Mobility Catalyze Cohort supports a broad range of organizations, operating models, and focus areas, all with the shared goal of transforming the many intersecting systems that lead to economic mobility. We invest in innovative organizations across the country that are building solutions to address the social drivers of employment outcomes, pathways to income generation, and financial health and wellbeing.

Our goal is to ensure that every worker has access to opportunities to learn new skills, advance in a career path, experience financial stability, and build generational wealth.

As we redefine what multi-generational wealth means, we must also redefine the solution set. Policymakers, elected officials, and funders have too often focused on individual behavior instead of systems change in and outside of economic mobility. We support organizations that drive economic mobility through:

  • Social Drivers of Employment Outcomes including increasing access to high-quality, affordable childcare, transportation, and housing to support economic opportunity.
  • Pathways to Income Generation including equitable innovations in the labor market, such as developing solutions that promote skills-based hiring, living wage jobs, and worker power.
  • Financial Health & Wealth Creation including driving reparations and guaranteed income solutions, increasing access to capital for entrepreneurship, and exploring ideas of community ownership.
