Marcy Lab Alani Bass

Flexible funding and strategic support geared toward long-term impact and sustainability.

Our Build Investments vehicle supports, strengthens, and expands the leadership and organizational capabilities of nonprofits that are focused on a broad range of issue areas within the intertwining systems of education, economic mobility, and democracy.

We seek to support social entrepreneurs and organizations who are meaningfully guided by the communities they serve and have the experience, expertise, and vision to co-design solutions to systems-level challenges.

By providing capital, capacity, and community to each of the organizations in our Build Investments portfolio, we enable each social entrepreneur to strengthen their individual and organizational leadership capabilities, refine their impact model, improve their strategic management and planning processes, and clarify their economic model to provide short- and long-term financial stability and flexibility.

Our goal with Build Investments is to help organizations with a track record of impact and financial sustainability increase their ability to make strategic choices as they navigate change and growth.

We set the table so that more people have a seat at the table when it comes to building the future of education. We want to see founders who look like you and me, building new schools, new educational programs, that meet the needs of the families.” Hassan Hassan, former CEO of 4.0
